United Launch Alliance is looking for a candidate to be a Quality Analysis Specialist 3.

This position will be an Audit Program Focal who will serve as the Administrator of a Quality Management System Audit Program. The Quality Analysis Specialist 3 position is responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with all levels of the organization in order to plan and execute process audits throughout all ULA facilities and functions. This position will manage/coordinate all aspects of the Quality Management audit function within ULA. Including locations in Alabama, Texas, Denver, Florida and California. The position will be required to interface/coordinate with the AS9100 Focal, management, and the customer community in order to ensure audits are scheduled and completed in an effective and timely manner. This position will track and maintain findings from multiple forums to ensure adequate corrective actions are incorporated and effective. Some travel will be required.

Follows program quality plans and adheres to procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in the field of quality auditing
  • Must have 4 to 8 years of related work experience
  • Must be willing and available for some travel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Have an understanding of AS9100, manufacturing, and Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified AS9100 auditor
  • 5 years of experience auditing in a manufacturing operations environment
  • Understand ITAR/Export Control regulations and Customer protocol requirements
