Those decisions are based on support from Compliance Officers who can accurately oversee and report on privacy issues and concerns. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Functions as the hospital’s Privacy Officer, responsible for the privacy/security guidelines, monitoring confidentiality practices and systems,
Implements established privacy/security policies. Works as an advocate to protect the patient’s right to privacy by serving as a key
advisor for patients, families, and workforce members.
Assists the Director of Risk Management/Corporate Compliance with the development and implementation of the hospital’s compliance policies and practices.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
High attention to detail.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Knowledge of health care compliance, HIPAA privacy and risk management as related to a health care.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of current standards and guidance concerning corporate compliance and ethics programs.
