Senior Property Accountant

Job Description:

The Senior Property Accountant provides support for monthly property level general ledger accounting and the preparation of monthly financial reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in accounting field
  • Public accounting and/or public company experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail


  • Perform month end close procedures on a portfolio of properties, including journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of accounts receivable and accounts payable and other supporting schedules
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statement support package
  • Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations to ensure appropriate accounting
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation to support control compliance
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and year end audit schedules
  • Strong team player, ready to step in and help the organization as opportunities arise in a fast pace, high growth environment
