Consider this . As a Quality Manager at James Hardie, you will work to oversee, implement, and continuously improves the quality control / quality assurance systems used in the fiber cement manufacturing process. The most important aspect of the Quality Manager’s role is to ensure the product meets or exceeds customer expectations. You’ll be responsible for driving the 3 Cs within the manufacturing plant: Culture, Capability, Conformance.

The Quality Manager will lead initiatives through statistical analysis of manufacturing and raw materials data to predict and intercept quality issues to minimize impact. You’ll be a quality champion, guiding and leading your quality initiatives at both the plant and corporate levels.

You’ll be based in our Plant City, FL located in near Tampa, FL. Relocation provided for the right candidate.

  • BS Degree in a technical or engineering discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in automation and controls in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (sheeted process systems such as paper, steel, gypsum is preferred)
  • At least 5 years as a quality process innovator
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong/expert level background in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, t-test comparison of means, analysis of variance, pareto chars, regression analysis, sample size determination, power curve analysis
