Home/Property Maintenance Tech - Hamilton and Butler County

Agency Overview: Envision provides a variety of services to support individuals with disabilities and has been a trusted resource for families for over 50 years. Our mission is to support a full and vibrant future for people with disabilities. In order to better fulfill this mission, Envision made the conscious decision to incorporate the Sanctuary Model across all of the various programs in our agency. The goal of adopting the Sanctuary model was to create a compassionate, trauma informed environment that promotes healing and recovery. We serve more than 450 children and adults each year. Our programs serve children and adults and address a range of conditions and disabilities including: physical or cognitive disabilities, syndromes associated with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum, learning disabilities, and co-occurring mental health issues. Envision is a contract agency of Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Position Summary: To provide maintenance/repair/upkeep for the Housing Resource Group’s (HRG) Housing Stock as well as contracted modifications to homes outside of the network.

Essential Functions:
Maintain, repair and provide upkeep for assigned homes. This includes, but is not limited to maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment.
Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance work in all areas of responsibility to maintain the “liveability” and value of the property
Perform general repair of household appliances
Perform carpentry and electrical repairs as needed
Perform painting and/or drywall maintenance/repair as needed
Maintain the “curb appeal” of each home by cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubs, maintaining decks and/or porches and other basic grounds maintenance activities
Coordinate snow and ice removal in the winter with the Maintenance Supervisor
Driving agency vehicles to the various properties that HRG maintains
Notify the Maintenance Supervisor of needs involving major repair/maintenance/replacement
Attend scheduled HRG meetings discuss the issues and needs relating to the maintenance/repair/upkeep of the homes
Be available to work a flexible schedule during 1st shift hours (Monday thru Friday) to help meet contracted deadlines
Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures as well as in accordance with OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen regulations
Protect company’s assets by responsibly maintaining homes and equipment
Support all HRG and Envision efforts to enhance quality of life for persons with disabilities and their families
Follow all Envision policies as detailed in the agency manual

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3 + years experience in building maintenance
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment and safety rules related to maintenance/repairs
Ability to organize work and to solve maintenance problems in an efficient and timely manner
Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously and the dexterity sufficient to perform the manual tasks involved
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work with others to plan, coordinate and/or complete tasks
Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
Mush have a valid driver’s license with less than 6 points on the driving record
HVAC Certification (or actively seeking certification), preferred
