Position Information
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites resumes for a full-time, contractual, exempt position with limited benefits.

Responsibilities
Administer all phases of the Division I intercollegiate softball program to include coaching, recruitment, management of staff and student athletes, and budgeting and planning. Additional duties include promotions, development of a summer camp program, effective on-field teaching and monitoring the academic the academic progress of student-athletes and mentoring. The coach will also serve as an ambassador for the university. Performs other related duties as assigned

Classification 27-0000 Arts, Design, Entertainment, Sports, and Media Occupations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications
Three years of intercollegiate level coaching and/or playing experience. Master’s degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Working knowledge of NCAA Division I recruiting guidelines and an Academic Performance Program in a successful environment required. Must have a high moral and ethical character, excellent motivational and communication skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively with students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the general public required.
