As a member of the Advanced Analytics group, this position will manage a variety of analytics projects to support the Commercial business at Endo. The responsibilities involve statistical analysis of pharmaceutical data to provide insight to drive business decisions, including customer segmentation and targeting, promotion response modeling, predictive modeling, ROI analysis, data mining, and text mining. This position will also provide guidance and support from an analytical perspective on technology strategy to ensure state-of-the-art data warehousing solutions to meet the business’ analytics needs.
This role will work in partnership with the Endo Branded Team to develop a broad range of advanced analytics and data architecture solutions to support across the entire portfolio of branded business.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a variety of sub-national data analytics projects to support Marketing, Sales and Patient Access. Responsible for the creation, optimization and retention of custom SAS/R programs that are designed to address key business questions/needs.
Conduct advanced statistical procedures on a wide array of data sets (examples include advanced regression, cluster analysis, time-series, text mining).
Develop concise and compelling presentations capturing the key business questions and results to present to senior leadership.
Day-to-day contact across Commercial organization for:
inputs into forecasting models, target lists, segmentation schema and all other related items.
Provide recommendations and specifications from an analytics perspective with respect to Business Intelligence and Data Management technology strategy in order to ensure robust processes that deliver timely and high quality data across the organization.
Advanced Quantitative degree in one of the following fields:
Economics, Operations Research, Statistics, Math, or Engineering.
+5 years of relevant analytical experience required.
3+ years’ work experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry preferred, at least 2+ years’ in support of marketing efforts.
Experience with SAS/Base & SAS/Stat. Working knowledge of R considered a plus.
Demonstrated experience in Mixed Models (linear and generalized linear; utilizing fixed and random effects), Advanced Regression, Data Mining techniques, Cluster Analysis, and Forecasting (with emphasis on probability & statistics.
Experienced in data warehouse, business intelligence, analytics, visualization; understanding of data warehouse technologies, ETL, reporting and middleware tools considered a plus.
Experience with data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau) and/or web analytics considered a plus.
Expertise in advanced data management skills with proficiency in SAS/Base & SAS/Stat and SQL.
Expertise in managing and analyzing a range of large pharmaceutical databases (Rx, sales, medical claims, SP, HUB, 867, 852) along with understanding of architecture of data stored and accessed through a variety of platforms (SAS, AWS, Netezza).
Understanding of other Marketing Science functions (i.e., Forecasting, Commercial Analytics, secondary data sources) to maximize the Marketing Insights deliverables.
Industry knowledge of the branded pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Keen understanding of major drivers of product success and Health Care environment.
Analytical skills coupled with depth in data management, mastering and architecting.
Strong proficiency with MS Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Creative problem solving skills that can manage multiple data sources with incomplete/messy data, along with offering unique solutions to new challenges
Keen analytical mind with innovative problem solving and technical skills, reflecting in-depth knowledge of the various market research and analytic methodologies.
written and verbal communication skills underpinned by strong business acumen. Must have ability to influence without authority and demonstrated track record of delivery and adept management of multiple work streams.
Ability to communicate and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
