Reporting to an ECommerce Senior Buyer, Drive e-commerce sales and profitability for selected lines of business to achieve yearly sales and profitability objectives through online merchandising initiatives and responsibilities
Provide strategy and tactical execution of e-commerce merchandising initiatives for selected lines of business
Plan and merchandise product on website and in all promotional channels for selected lines of business with appropriate operational execution and business analysis to ensure sales and margin objectives are attained
Drive promotional marketing calendar creation and execution on website and in marketing channels
Serve as primary point of contact for internal Ulta e-commerce, merchandising, and operations partners to build strong working partnerships for all online and multi-channel initiatives
Serve as primary point of contact for vendor partners for assortment planning, promotional planning, partnership management and business initiatives

Assortment planning- Serve as primary ULTA.com contact with internal merchandising team to develop optimum online assortments for each category. Analyze corporate product additions weekly and work with content management team for scheduling of assortment additions and deletions. Identify and execute opportunities to create online only assortment and marketing initiatives. Utilize e-commerce and ERP business analysis tools to track, trend, and plan assortments for assigned lines of business.
Sales forecasting and inventory monitoring– Partner with inventory management and merchandising teams for required forecasting of e-commerce sales based on business analysis, trends, and anticipated growth. Ensure that appropriate inventory is allocated to support forecasted sales for products in assortment. Monitor and manage product out-of-stock rates with inventory management, merchandising, and vendor partners as needed.
Overall management of website sampling program-Manage online sample program with internal teams and vendor partners to obtain adequate inventory of brand samples.
Vendor management-Partner with internal store merchandising team and vendor brand community to maximize sales and profitability opportunities for assigned lines of business. Work with vendor partners to develop and execute assortments, microsite/brand stores, and online marketing promotional planning.
Marketing planning and marketing calendar creation and execution- Collaborate with marketing and store merchandising teams to plan all online channel marketing promotions and timing. Work with store merchant and marketing teams for corporate product promotion execution, including print marketing inclusion/expansion of online marketing messaging.
Website execution- work with new and existing brands and merchants to facilitate required online merchandising presentations including product asset availability (i.e., images, copy) for content management team. Coordinate with marketing team to ensure that merchandising of website coordinates with print and online marketing channels.
Vendor reporting- coordinate overall management of weekly and ad-hoc reporting for internal partners and external vendors for sales and website metrics for all business lines.
Ongoing collaboration and communication- Communicate business objectives, initiatives, and results with other departments within the organization (merchants, inventory management, marketing, etc.) and vendor partners.
Minimum of 2-3 years of store and/or e-commerce merchandising (at associate buyer level or above) experience with financial, marketing, and operational responsibility for lines of business at pure-play e-commerce or multi-channel retailer.
Prior experience and working knowledge of strategy and execution of merchandising initiatives in an e-commerce business merchandising application (any relevant platform including ATG, MarketLive, IBM Websphere, Demandware or in-house).
Prior working experience with internal company ERP system (retail merchant system, e.g. SAP or in-house), Omniture (or similar web analytics tool) very beneficial but not required.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). MS Access and Project beneficial but not required.
Work with cross-functional teams in store merchandising, replenishment, marketing, and e-commerce IT Significant prior experience (3+ years) for retail buying and/or online merchandising with direct responsibility for the channel execution, sales and ROI performance of business for store retail or e-commerce business, with accountability for results.
Experience with and understanding of website content management systems (CMS) a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Access).
