The role of Deal Desk Analyst supports Ellucian’s Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance organization. It is cross-functional in nature and success requires an excellent team player who can interact with a complex cross-functional ecosystem with disparate needs, employ creativity and original thinking to proactively identify new and different approaches to analyzing sales opportunities and data, and assimilate information from multiple sources to generate fresh strategic insights within the sales and sales operations teams.
Skills and Knowledge Desired:
Experience working the deal desk/contract management team:
Develop an in-depth understanding of the pricing models
Provide support in conjunction with contracts, legal & finance teams
Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex pricing & licensing situations.
Knowledge of Cloud Services, Perpetual and SaaS Software and Solutions is highly recommended
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with modeling and analysis
Enjoys engaging with complex, cross-functional teams and individuals
Experience creating customer/prospect proposals
Minimum of 3 to 5 years involvement with complex software solutions and sales
3 to 5 years’ experience, a minimum of two years’ experience in an analytic role within one or more of the disciplines of Sales, Marketing, or Finance
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Proactive, creative, and results oriented individual
Experience in data analysis, modeling, or financial analysis to support revenue growth
