Our interns will apply their education to meaningful projects in a team environment alongside a technical mentor. You will be exposed to many levels of management within our company concluding with an end of summer presentation to the executive team. Throughout the summer you will have the opportunity to acquire technical and professional skills, to participate in team building activities, and to enjoy social events in the Rocky Mountain region.
Internship Position Description
Software Development Internship position within Ricoh Control Unit Development organization in Boulder Colorado. The Control Unit Development Team delivers high quality solutions comprised of Linux-based software running on multiple hardware platforms, in the control of Continuous Forms and Cutsheet Printers. Our software engineers are generally involved in every phase of the development process, including architecture, planning, design, implementation, unit test, documentation, and providing ongoing support for product test and field support groups. The successful intern must be a confident Software Developer who is comfortable working within a Linux environment. Interpersonal skills should include teaming, self management, multitasking, as well as, a positive, cooperative, and dedicated attitude.
Programming experience in C/C++
User interface knowledge / skills
Software development in Linux OS environment
Strong debugging and analytical skills
Excellent technical writing, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
Teaming, self-management and multitasking skills
Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Working with a large software team in matrix environment
Working with remote teams
Education / Certifications:
Working towards - B.S., M.S., or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college / university; or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program.
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
