The Senior Director Finance serves as a key member of financial leadership team and liaison between N.A. Operations management and corporate operations teams. Responsible for delivering value-added business analysis and financial models that lead to insightful, accurate decision-making. Oversee the Rx Operations Controlling team, building core competencies, ensuring proper financial controls and developing a comprehensive knowledge of key business drivers.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance partner for operational leadership, develop financial models and provide analysis for key projects/initiatives (new business, key capital projects, make vs buy, etc)
Provide holistic financial models that consider various risk
Coordinate activities cross-functionally to ensure tasks necessary for accurate financial information is complete (including testing in SAP as required)
Review overall operation performance/decisions for potential risk or opportunities
Direct/coordinate annual budget and forecasts
Manage overall process to include the setting of timelines for inputs/outputs, establishing targets, coordinating action plans, etc
Oversee the development/maintenance of financial models for key expenses such as lens materials, direct/indirect labor, breakage, lab supplies, etc,
Maintain appropriate financial management systems to facilitate analysis and corporate reporting
Work cross functionally and with the markets to enhance forecasting techniques
Manage scope changes to ensure year-over-year comparability
Develop and enhance annual standards, improving the link between actual costs and market cross charges
Oversee CAPEX budgeting, business case development and post-implementation audits
Manage monthly close activities and variance analysis
Objectively monitors/analyzes monthly operating results ensuring completeness and accuracy
Partner with operations management to identify actions necessary to mitigate risks to financial commitments
Manages preparation of reports and analyses including financial summaries, KPIs, key trends, variance explanations and group/executive presentations.
Oversee the development/maintenance of various mix models including CPU, breakage, lab mix, etc
Support integration efforts
Lead Rx Operations Controlling team
Build/maintain a high-performing team through attracting, engaging and retaining top talent
Lead continuous improvement efforts for the finance team finding more efficient, effective and flexible ways to support the business
Assist in establishing short/long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies including, but not limited to, proper accounting of risks, financial controls over assets, purchase commitments and limits of authority.
Bachelor’s Finance or Accounting
12+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
5+ years of experience managing others
Demonstrated leadership in complex organizational structures
Demonstrated success driving results
Strong technical, financial skills
Ability to analyze complex data making recommendations to drive results
ERP system experience
Hyperion Planning experience
Previous experience in manufacturing environment (cost accounting, inventory accounting, etc)
