Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The Assistant Manager Global Brand Marketing Catalog supports and assists the Catalog Brand Marketing team at Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) with strategic and day-to-day deliverables to maximize revenue and profitability by fully exploiting the UPHE Catalog.
The Assistant Brand Manager stays abreast of changes in the industry, consumer behaviors and marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans & tactics accordingly.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing valuable support to the broader team’s product and campaign releases, while owning and managing their own smaller product and campaign releases.
They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and commercial results across all Home Entertainment formats.
This role must maintain a deep understanding of the vast Universal Library content, industry trends and consumer insights in order to maximize the commercial potential.
Essential Responsibilities:
Product and Marketing
Take ownership on conducting insight gathering and consumer trend analyses using 1st party data, research and secondary data to support innovative global marketing plan development and execution for smaller product releases and campaigns.
Develop tactics to engage target audiences and drive ownership across all Home Entertainment formats to deliver our financial targets.
Ensure Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is prominent in all product releases and campaigns.
Collaborate & brief functional teams, including but not exclusive to developing key art, packaging, digital marketing assets and publicity efforts.
Take ownership over the setting of KPIs and metrics, to drive increased social community engagement.
Development tactics, calendar management and posting schedule in collaboration with the Digital Marketing team to achieve set KPIs and metrics.
Participate in product releases and campaign ideation sessions, with a view on symphony efforts across NBC Universal’s other business units, including but not exclusive to Theatrical, Theme Parks, Consumer Products and Peacock.
Support the wider team on larger global product releases and campaigns.
Communications
Lead the creation of presentations and present as required at conferences.
Compile information and assets to create companywide global Catalog dedicated newsletter, communicating including but not limited to key priorities, best practice from across all markets, dating, product and campaign releases and marketing assets.
Lead the creation of sales tools on a monthly basis to communicate up and coming product and campaign releases.
Build surveys on request, distribute, collect responses, provide data, insights and recommendations back to the team.
Analysis
Develop post campaign reviews to garner and share insights to be actioned in future product releases and campaigns, including but not exclusive to sales data, market trends, competitive landscape, community engagement, message testing, packaging configuration and asset performance.
Conduct analytics and review performance dashboard against benchmarks for social, paid and owned media.
Use analytics to optimize performance of companywide global newsletter on a monthly basis.
Brand | Franchise performance
Gather and analyze data for annual portfolio, brand and franchise planning session to support the development of annual plans and release schedule.
Financials
Review monthly financial reports and share out to team and key stakeholders.
Administer purchase order requests, invoices and goods received from external vendors and track purchase order activity with internal functional teams.
Own the tracking of the global Catalog marketing budget and communicate monthly variances to budget and outstanding invoices against open purchase orders.
Administrative
Assist with territory requests, legal approval and timelines to ensure we service our international markets in a timely fashion.
Maintain Anniversary Tracker as new product is released to maximize in future years.
Set up and maintain management of all required vendors.
Set up all international territory calls, confirm date, time and manage attendee list.
Run reports as required utilizing business systems at the request of the wider team.
Manage all portfolio distribution lists.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year of consumer marketing experience
Proficient in all of Microsoft 365 programs and apps
