The Global B2B Content Strategy Director is responsible for developing compelling content strategies and channel plans that align with business KPIs and contribute to lead nurture and conversion across all UNiDAYS global B2B campaigns. We’re looking for someone who is a builder, who can take a foundation and expand upon it and make it a well-oiled machine.
This person will play both a pivotal and collaborative role with the Global B2B Marketing Team and own the global content strategy, topic ideation, content development, and recommend appropriate content formats. This person will also oversee and and identify strategic amplification opportunities to drive content-led lead generation and persona engagement. Content and customer journey mapping should be something you are well versed in and you should be ready to talk about examples of how it’s worked for you in the past. You understand the need for creating strategies for specific verticals, including persona development and mapping pain points to different stages of the buyer journey and have a strong POV on what should be gated vs not.
Day to day responsibilities
Leverage insights from vertical marketing, commercial and product teams to develop an understanding of priority audience segments, resonant themes and UNiDAYS offerings
Responsible for leading a team of two writers to drive overall content development
Own content channel plans to optimize content appropriately
Work with writers to develop a streamlined content workflow and calendar
Responsible for content plan to define process and to fill in content gaps and ensure content for all levels of the buyer’s journey by vertical
Identify external thought leader influencers and broader content partners
Work with with vertical specialists to identify and develop key personas
Work within HubSpot to manage content calendar, contributors and content workflow
Responsible for content reporting
Track success of content programs, topics and formats; compile statistics; and provide recommendations for future programs
Stay abreast of content marketing trends in order to follow and transcend content best practices, including content development resources and thought leader identification
What we need from you
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
7+ years of relevant experience; B2B marketing experience is a must
Knowledge of the retail, marketing, and/or e-commerce landscape is critical
Proven experience developing successful content strategies for lead generation
Experience with HubSpot or a similar marketing automation platform
Strong project and people management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Understanding of SEO and how it contributes to content strategy
Familiarity with paid media tactics - native content, content syndication, webcasts, podcasts, video, etc.
Experience localizing content for other regions (namely EU)
Bonus points for HubSpot content certification
