Edgewater is currently seeking Project Managers to provide oversight to one or more of our IT government contracts in the Washington, DC area. As a Project Manager, you will work with product teams, stakeholders and senior management to provide direct support to our federal government clients.
Responsibilities include:
Anticipate problems and risks, and work to mitigate them.
Monitors tasks and regularly briefs client management orally and in writing, concerning problems encountered and accomplishments.
Evaluates staff performance and reviews work products on a daily basis.
Responsible for keeping time and budget commitments for the organization.
Create and maintain an information technology project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation. Utilize software life-cycle methodology.
Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards; will assist technical team in design and development tasks; and, assist test team in creating test plans and testing efforts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology or similar degree.
PMP Certification or equivalent.
Minimum of eight years of experience in information technology of which at least five years will be in managing information technology contract performance.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills commensurate with experience level.
Experience in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling overall activities of a project, including project management, technical work, quality of work, schedule, and costs.
