The Marketing Planning & Analysis team is looking for an Associate to join its Hollywood-based group with a focus on social media performance and operational efficiency, with an interest in the intersection of organic and paid media. This team develops strategic insights to further the company's global marketing efforts, including social media and buzz. We have made significant advancements in how we measure and analyze our efforts on social platforms to inform marketing decisions. Our broad content portfolio, global scale, and unique social approach offer a great environment for a curious self-starter to derive insights in this space.
The Associate position, working closely with both the Marketing Planning & Analysis team and social stakeholders, will be an integral member of the team and be responsible for providing support and analysis across the breadth of content and marketing channels leveraged by Netflix.
This role will reside in the Los Angeles (Hollywood) office, report to the Manager of Marketing Planning and Analysis, and will require international collaborations with global partners.
Lead analyses to better understand the broad impact of the social universe and the marketing team’s efforts on Netflix titles’ and other business metrics
Drive global analyses to identify opportunities across markets, titles, and social platforms
Develop and validate new measurement capabilities in the social space along with engineering, science, and consumer insights groups
Evaluate operating structure and build financial forecasts to drive strategy for marketing stakeholders
Conduct market research, track industry trends, and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies
A successful candidate will have a strong track record of identifying key questions, performing proactive analyses, and communicating findings in a clear and concise way.
3-6 years of experience in a similar highly analytical environment (e.g. top management consulting firm, digital agency, or media/entertainment/tech company analytical role)
Proven track record and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis (superior Excel skills)
Strong capabilities for crafting and presenting analyses to senior executives, including non-analytical business partners
History of self starting initiatives and enthusiasm for creating their own work
Adept at managing several projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Top-tier education with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature; MBA a plus (or equivalent years of relevant experience)
