Full Service Restaurant – General Manager

We are seeking to hire a General Manager at Boone’s Fish House & Oyster Room located on the water in Portland’s Old Port. The General Manager is responsible for supervising all Front of House Staff and works closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure consistent and superior guest experiences across Front and Back of House operations.

We will hire a motivated professional who promotes a harassment free environment, works with integrity and displays sound and accurate judgement in making decisions. GM needs to adapt to change, respond to management direction, take responsibility for their own actions and commit to work to reach goals.

Guest Satisfaction Our primary goal is to provide exceptional service, food, drinks, and ambiance to our guests. Every guest should be visited by a Manager and any dissatisfaction from our guests be dealt with professionally and immediately.

Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Schedules, Interior and Exterior, Floor, Bar and Kitchen areas Safety issues addressed as needed Side Work duties monitored, completion guaranteed FOH and BOH Building Security Open and Close the building properly

Marketing and Community Develop and maintain relationships with area visitor bureaus, local community and business groups Form relationships with concierge, front desk clerks, shuttle drivers, cruise ships, tour guides, etc. Work with Social media staff to promote Boone’s best online presence possible

Bar Inventory and Ordering Monthly Inventories Weekly Ordering Proper product storage

Events - Oversee all event procedures and successful execution of our event program

Financial Responsive to financial reports as reviewed with Business Manager and Owner Works within approved budget Contributes to profits and revenue Understands business implications of decisions, has knowledge of market and competition

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
