This position is a manager level position within Jefferson Center whose primary purposes include:
Outreach to diverse communities of color, language, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc. to enhance Jefferson Center's ability to provide appropriate high-quality programs and services.
Develop, coordinate, and implement Jefferson Center’s cultural relevance initiatives.
Management oversight and supervision of clinical programs under Centro Dones
Support and commitment to Jefferson Center’s culture of change, clinical excellence, high performance and data informed decision making.
The overall responsibilities of of the Culture Relevance Manager are:
Engage diverse communities (race, ethnicity, language, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith) to enhance Jefferson Center's ability to provide culturally appropriate and competent programs and services to the community.
Serve as an active member in the community in the spirit of coordination, communication and collaboration with partner organizations to further Jefferson Center’s, and our communities, cultural relevance activities, such as partnerships focused on reducing health disparities.
Serve as an advocate with government representatives, of all levels, consulates, and external program providers on behalf of Jefferson Center’s cultural diversity initiatives working with appropriate executive level staff who coordinate all advocacy activities.
Identify, develop, and facilitate training and technical assistance needs of Jefferson Center and our community, as appropriate.
Participation in Jefferson Center’s efforts to become more culturally diverse, competent, and focused on reducing health disparities among culturally diverse populations.
Serve as the voice of inclusiveness and advocacy and integrate cultural relevance and inclusiveness into Jefferson Center’s organizational and clinical work.
This position will be held accountable to measurable goals that are developed, implemented, and maintained in collaboration with Supervisor and Jefferson Center’s management team.
Update the CLAS standards and activities document regularly and communicate cultural relevance efforts in an Executive Summary on a routine basis as directed by Supervisor.
Collaborate with other Jefferson Center staff to identify team needs in the areas of cultural relevance, competency and reducing health disparities among culturally diverse populations.
Design and implement, as appropriate, in-depth organizational cultural competency assessments and trainings, including Lunch and Learns.
Provide oversight and coordination of center-wide interpretation and translation needs and services.
Oversight of the Center’s bilingual resources to ensure appropriate referrals and use.
Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for growth related to cultural diversity and competent staffing, programming and services at Jefferson Center.
Participation and facilitation in Jefferson Center committees representing cultural relevance.
Involvement in the management of budgets related to cultural relevance and clinical programs supervised by this position.
Keep Jefferson Center up to date on best practice standards for cultural relevance and competent staffing and services.
Provide management, including administrative and clinical oversight, of the Centro Dones de Nuestra Comunidad clinical program at Jefferson Center.
Provides clinical supervision of staff, management of referrals and case assignments, review of and input on cases, review of documentation, and approval of treatment plans.
Manages hiring, termination and performance management of the Centro Dones Team.
Manages program administration, including budget monitoring, service delivery, documentation requirements, and quality outcomes management.
Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach, incorporates and utilizes feedback. Attends supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor.
Helps staff engage the consumer and family in the treatment process and goal setting to identify risk factors including lethality.
Familiarity with evidenced based practices, including Partners of Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS), Trauma Informed Care, and their regular implementation.
Has an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that any interaction with clients is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization.
As required, participates in the Center’s training/educational programs designed to enhance knowledge about Trauma Informed Care, the impact of trauma and trauma recovery.

This position reports to the Director of Culturally Relevant and Trauma Informed Services.

Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge Required:
This position requires a Masters or doctoral degree (from an accredited university/college) in behavioral health field.
Colorado behavioral health licensure is required (LP, LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Supervisory/management experience required.
Two or more years of cultural competency related duties is preferred.
This position requires excellent communication, organization, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills. A high level of initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential to the position. Additionally, this position will exhibit enthusiasm, respect, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the workplace.
The Cultural Relevance Manager must be able to collaborate with both internal and external parties to advance Jefferson Center’s cultural diversity and competency. This position requires knowledge about, and experience with, culturally relevant community outreach. Proven experience in developing and leading high performance teams is required.
