  • Reformed Church Home, a not-for-profit, Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living Facility, is seeking a full-time Assistant for our Development Office. Reporting to the Director of Development, the primary responsibility is contributing to the vitality of the organization by assisting in administrative tasks related to fundraising, special events, and donor recognition activities. Tasks include processing all charitable gifts, updating donor information, preparing, designing and printing development correspondence, mail merges and other mass mailing functions, maintaining the development database and excel spreadsheets, and assisting with administrative tasks related to all functions of the Development Office. The ideal candidate will possess fundraising experience including knowledge of donor software (Blackbaud – E-Tapestry), proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel and Publisher with strong writing and professional customer relations skills. Candidate must be detailed oriented, work independently with accuracy, handle multiple time-sensitive confidential tasks simultaneously and interact with organization’s volunteers, committee members and constituents. Candidate will perform reasonable and related duties as assigned by the Director of Development and Executive Administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 years’ experience in special events and/or development or related field
  • Must have Non-profit experience
  • Preferable – Bachelor’s degree in public relations or communications
  • Knowledge of Donor Database Software (Blackbaud/E-Tapestry)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher with concentration in Excel
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills are essential
  • Possess strong organizational skills, detail oriented, dependable and conscientious
  • Must be a proficient typist
  • Constituent-oriented and professional
  • Must be able to prioritize work, handle multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously and work independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is of utmost importance
