Job Summary: We are looking to hire a Human Resources Representative. They will be responsible for a variety of tasks including and not limited to HR Orientation, office maintenance, HR check-ins and Employee Relations, as well as HR processing, benefit and leave management, and performance reviews. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, and a multitasker. This position requires strong people skills as well as attention to detail for data processing. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys their work and wants to be part of our community. Customer service and prior office experience required,
Responsibilities:

Conducts HR Orientations and monitors the onboarding process for new hires

Conducts stay, tenure, and exit interviews; communicates feedback/brings trends to light with suggestions for improvement (therapists, admin staff, management)

Oversees physical office maintenance in our Long Island office

Facilitates office and virtual office events
-
Responsible for HR processing including hires, separations, change in status as well as benefits and leaves of absence/FMLA

Staff presentation creation
-
Tracking of I-9s and anti-harassment training
-
Accurately processes all employee requests into the HR system and retention reports

Reception coverage (coverage for receptionist/lunch)

Other duties assigned by Director as needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
-
2 years office experience and/or retail management experience

Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills required
-
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required
-
Excellent demonstrated follow-up skills & attention to detail
-
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
-
Strong relationship building skills-must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of staff

Demonstrated adaptability and ability to manage change

Must be resilient.
Physical Requirements:

Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.

Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the work day working on a computer/electronic device.

The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Compensation: Full-time non-exempt $24-$25 per hour, overtime required as needed. No time off is approved from early October till mid-November yearly due to benefits enrollment for the company.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:30pm. Must be available to come in early and/or stay late as needed.
Friday work-from-home availability after the probationary period. Must be willing to travel to our Forest Hills location quarterly to meet and greet the staff.
