Under general supervision, provides professional public health nursing services in accordance with Georgia State Nursing Protocols. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Providing Well Child Checkups, and Hearing, Vision, & Dental Screenings for school age children. Record pertinent observations and responses to treatment. Provides health education and/or instruction to families for the promotion and maintenance of health. Documents all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments. Prepares rooms, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained. Provides education to client and family. Administers immunizations according to policy. Respond to Public Health emergencies, including natural disasters.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications - External:
Public Health nursing experience, previous experience in vaccine provision and management, prior experience using computer systems M&M and GRITS. :
