The FP&A Organization
At Verizon, we are building a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, enhance systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. Reshaping the future of FP&A at Verizon calls for improving our ability to deliver exceptional value to our customers. In this role, you will significantly contribute to the execution of the strategic roadmap for Verizon's ERP program as a functional sponsor. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), to implement initiatives for the Verizon ERP programs and strategies. You’ll be consistently pursuing technology solutions to streamline our processes.
Ensure all project work for FP&A is being completed on time and to standards established to deliver a quality product, while mitigating risks to the program as needed.
Work independently to generate creative solutions while ensuring the plan fulfills the strategic objective to provide timely, accurate information and to ultimately safeguard Verizon assets
Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of new processes or procedures.
Demonstrate broad knowledge of ERP systems, expert knowledge of Capital Budget and Procurement operations, financial, and additional support systems.
Communicate with Executives and quickly identify and overcome potential program challenges.
Present and communicate to all levels of the business.
What we’re looking for...
You’re organized and practical, and great at finding ways to simplify complex processes. You have solid finance acumen across a variety of topics. You are also an effective manager and inspiring leader, people look to you for your expertise.
You’ll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics or related field or four relevant years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have:
Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis.
Project or program management experience.
Experience working with a major ERP system, SAP preferred.
ERP system implementation experience.
A Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics.
Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, stakeholder alignment.
Extensive organizational and time management skills.
