The Copywriter will be responsible for conceiving, writing, editing, and executing breakthrough, communications for Madison Square Garden Entertainment. We’re looking for a creative, consumer-focused, storyteller with a deep passion for Live entertainment, music and popular culture. Experience in the social space is a must.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
Day to day, the Copywriter will be responsible for writing on-strategy, on-time, and exceptional creative work for the MSG Live Brand, cover concerts and engage with fans in the social and digital space.
As a part of the Creative team, the Copywriter will be a key contributor. He/she will write and collaborate with the creative team members on big ideas for our clients (brand team, engagement marketing, etc.)
The Copywriter should also be a strong editor as he/she will review and edit copy submitted by other marketing team members and external freelancers to ensure the writing is engaging and compelling, error-free and on-brand
Work will include online and offline deliverables – so you must be comfortable writing for digital as well as traditional environments

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or similar.
5-7 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or brand content creation, preferably on a creative team in an agency or agency-style environment
Superior strategic thinking, superb writing and editing ability, confidence, keen eye for detail, grammar and style, and a deep passion for music and popular culture.
Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive and innovative thinker.
Highly motivated and a high level of initiative, ability to work independently in support of creative goals and business objectives.
Ability to get other people excited about ideas and sell them in
Ability to perform under tight deadlines
A strong portfolio of creative that demonstrates originality, innovation,
problem solving, and personal expression.

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
