Overview:
CableCom is seeking a 3 GIS Specialist to supervise and coordinate 3 GIS integration into the LA South market. Working closely with our engineering staff, you will produce maps, construction drawings, and permits in support of the engineering effort required to build fiber optic networks for our telecommunications clients nationwide. Projects will include engineering and design for back-haul and front-haul networks, long-haul and regional networks, fiber to the home (FTTH), fiber to the tower (FTTT), and more.

Responsibilities:
Schedule and submit workload to meet critical engineering design due dates.
Supervise and work with engineering staff to perform daily assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of drawings, review of, or the creation / update of drawings.
Create designs of feeder and distribution cable facilities using appropriate tools.
Preparation of necessary permits for OSP facilities, feeder Route and distribution Analysis/Administration and development of appropriate feeder route strategies and solutions for feeder relief.
General clerical duties, tasks or special projects as occasionally required or assigned.
Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to regulations and policies.

Qualifications:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of Esri Arc GIS, and 3-GIS Software in a utility or utility related environment
AutoCAD and Map 3D experience preferred
Outside Plant/Telecom experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
