General Description
This position is responsible to assist in the monthly financial closing. Responsibilities may include account analysis, preparation of journal entries, accounts receivable and cash receipts postings, accounts payable coding, prepaid and cash reconciliations, fixed asset analysis and year-end audit requirements. Assistance with monthly billings may also be required.

  • Assist with the monthly financial closing; account analysis; accounts receivable aging; accounts payable; monthly billing; budget reporting; journal entries; time sheet review; prepaid and accruals
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations including cash
  • Assist with inputting budgets and invoices to various systems
  • Assist and serve as back up in the processing of bi-weekly payroll through ADP and processing of weekly time-cards in SL
  • Assist employees with resolving time-card related issues

Work and Education Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years at most of experience in general accounting
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Familiarity with Government Contracting Accounting software a plus.
