HNI Corporation, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing is in search of a Telecommunications Analyst to join our team in Muscatine, IA!
As the Telecommunications Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of telecom hardware and software technologies. Responsibilities will also include providing troubleshooting and order management support to end users on a variety of mobility telecom requests.
This position will analyze activity and make recommendations for improving the Customer Service Technology needs as well as provide day-to-day operational support for Telecommunications Infrastructure according to company expectations and needs.
Some of the essential aspects of the position include:
Training employees on the use of telecommunications hardware and software
Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications
Acts as liaison with other departments, divisions, organizations, and third-party vendors
Procurement and management of mobile devices and programs
Identify and execute cost saving measures for mobile telecom program
Assist in maintaining telecom invoicing, inventory, monthly reports and other misc. documentation
Coordinating maintenance, installation and expansions which may include coordinating with network, support teams, and third-party vendors
On call for telecommunication issues at all times
Performs Moves Adds Changes on Avaya telephone equipment and programming on various voice, call accounting, video and other periphery telephony systems
Assist with trouble reporting and resolution for PBXs, local phone service and long-distance services
Implement, maintain and support a variety of Workforce Management Tools, currently Avaya CMS, Verint Workforce Management and Quality monitoring
Implement, maintain and support toll-free lines and services including ACD set-ups and Vectoring.
Provide problem analysis and troubleshooting for all of the Telephony Systems
Coordinates the service and repair of telecom systems equipment and software
What it takes:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school and 3-5 years of technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Engineering preferred
1-2 years experience with Avaya products
1-2 years experience with mobile technologies
1-2 years experience with writing easy to understand documentation
Experience using ticketing systems
Clearly and concisely expresses professional opinions with supporting rationale
High level of attention to detail
Performs under stress or copes with frequent deadlines of interruptions without loss of efficiency or composure
Knowledge of cellular data plans and structures
Performs a multiplicity of tasks, often changing from one to another, without loss of concentration or composure
Adapts to both working alone, or as part of a larger team, for varying duration
Comfortable making independent field-level decisions and interpretations of existing organizational policies and procedures
Demonstrates professional behavior when communicating and working with members, vendors and/or customers
Promotes effective communication and interaction among departments
