Brown & Brown of Indiana, LLC is seeking an exceptional Marketing Analyst to join our team in Brown & Brown of Indiana, LLC. Under direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is the marketing of new or renewal accounts through negotiation with underwriters to obtain optimal coverage and pricing. Additional responsibilities include the utilization of creative analysis strategies based on carrier partners, coverage and programs to facilitate the production of new and renewal business. A Marketing Analyst will serve by performing the following duties:
Market new and renewal accounts according to established procedures.
Provide complete submission to company underwriters.
Negotiate with underwriters to obtain optimal coverage and pricing.
Enter/update applications in Applied System.
Provide complete proposal of coverage options to producer to present to client.
Update applications and proposal based on coverage sold.
Bind/Order policies from insurance companies based on coverage sold.
Monitor, identify and develop new methods, new markets and new opportunities for additional revenue.
Maintain constant communication with staff regarding market changes.
Review binding authority and current commission and profit sharing structures.
Maintain company-marketing files with current marketing materials and applications.
Assist with the maintenance of current Indiana resident, non-resident, and surplus lines licensing for agency.
Assist in the training of new producers on markets and marketing procedures.
Dictation for producers and managers as needed.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License Required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Policy Declaration Page, summary plan descriptions, certification of coverage, instruction manuals, workflow reports, etc.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Fluent ability with Word and moderate typing speed is needed.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
