Direct the development, implementation and coordination of policies and programs covering the following areas: employment, wage and salary management incentive compensation, organization development and succession planning, training assessments, safety, benefits, payroll and employee services, and employee relations.
Main Responsibility for All Associates of Robroy: You will be expected to participate in training and development activities throughout your employment with Robroy Industries to ensure the excellence of the performance of your assigned duties.”
  • Manages the administration of payroll for salary and hourly payroll group
  • Manages the administration of benefit enrollment for business unit(s)
  • Manage, review, recommend, and implement actions to achieve company objectives in the areas of staffing, training & development, compensation mgmt employee relations, safety, policy development and administration, and payroll and benefits management
  • Responsible for filing timely responses for unemployment claims and appeals; and all other third party requests for information
  • Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs (long term, short term and succession planning)
  • Write directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and benefits.
  • Manage employee relations issues in union and non-union environments
  • Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
  • Develop and maintain human resources systems that supports top management statistical data needs
  • Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments
  • Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends
  • Support management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements
  • Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding human resources policies and practices
  • Coordinate, implement and monitor plant-wide safety programs
  • Coordinate, implement and monitor plant-wide wellness programs
  • HR assumes the role of program assessor with the business unit(s) and Robroy leadership
  • Participation in monthly Operations Meetings and quarterly Executive Operations Meetings
  • Coordinate w/third party training and development needs and initiate programs to support training objectives
  • Drives organizational change and communicates expectations to all levels
  • Responsible for annual department budget
  • Responsibilities for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of non-conforming products/services/systems.
  • All Department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary
  • Responsible for adherence and knowledge of all ISO processes, procedures, flowcharts, and quality policy
  • Responsible for driving Self-Managed Performance (SMP) program through organization through team involvement, participation, and engagement
  • Safety - "0" lost time accidents

  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Provide HR support to other facilities as needed
  • Cross Training in other work centers as needed for the business
High School Graduate Mandatory
 BS or BBA in Business Management and/or Human Resources and/or equivalent experience
 10 years Human Resources experience (production/ manufacturing environment preferred)
 Project scheduling; budgeting and time management experience
 Statistics knowledge
 Industrial Relations/Union Environment experience preferred
