Salary Range: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 a year, Paid Time Off, 401(k), and Benefits for Full Time permanent employees!

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting department while reporting to the CFO. This hands-on individual will be responsible for working with the executive team and department directors on managing the finance function, most importantly job costing. More specifically they would be responsible for management of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Job Costing and Financial reporting of the company, and partnering with the CFO on Budgets and Treasury management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Direct financial reporting and analysis; accounting, payroll, cash management, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting functions.
- Assist with the annual operating budget process including preparing the budget initiatives based upon organizational strategy and goals, creating all departmental budgets from beginning to end, preparation and presentation of detailed analysis for department directors and VPs.
- Ensure internal financial control infrastructure follows internal policies and external regulations. Identify relevant best practices for application to the organization and lead the implementation.
- Manage and review the top client monthly billing statements.
- Prepare and analyze the monthly Financial Package, which includes variance discussion and various management reports.
- Review job costing to ensure timely and accurate reporting, and investigate discrepancies to report to department managers for correction.
- Provide effective support and communication to the CFO and Senior Team
- Ensure that fixed assets of the organization are safeguarded and properly accounted for
- Manage the technology products used for the finance function to include training, optimization of functionality to increase productivity and provide business insights for staff.
- Work closely with department directors to identify reporting needs for their departments in order to achieve their functional goals.
- Work closely with the Purchasing department on job costing, Inventory, and development and monitoring of standard costs.
- Helps prepare presentations and talking points for various presentations.
- Manage and Review Payroll and Payroll Reports. Ensure the payroll is properly loaded into the company’s financial system.
- Lead the annual financial review and bank field exams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience managing a team, ideally 2 years.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to handle complex tasks and solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
- Strong Excel skills with knowledge of advanced techniques and modeling; PACE Accounting software a plus.
- Demonstrated strategic agility; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and collaborative environment and grasp complex legal, financial, and operational matters.
- Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner and skilled in managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently, and possess the skills needed to strategically lead teams in achieving their goals.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
Physical Requirements:
- Work in a manufacturing or warehouse setting about 25% of the time.
- Work in an office setting about 75% of the time.
