Our program offers IOP & PHP programming and provides a healthy and healing person-centered space. We take a multi-dimensional, comprehensive treatment approach, and focus is on addressing the root cause of mental health issues such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. We aim to create a community that fosters lasting recovery and exceptional outcomes for individuals who are exposed to our services.
Position Overview: Birch Tree Recovery is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director who will play a crucial role in driving growth and expansion within our organization. This position combines strategic business development with marketing responsibilities to effectively promote our services and achieve business objectives in the mental health sector.
Key Responsibilities (Snapshot):
- Business Development:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance our market presence and service offerings.
- Lead the development and execution of business plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Evaluate and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities within the mental health industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders/decision-makers, including other healthcare providers, large, local corporations/companies, and potential clients.
- Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our services and increase brand awareness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing materials, campaigns, and digital content.
- Utilize market research and analysis to refine marketing strategies and improve customer engagement.
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
- Sales and Client Management:
- Drive client attainment efforts by collaborating on and overseeing the development of sales plans and strategies.
- Support the client attainment team in prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
- Ensure excellent client satisfaction through proactive communication and relationship management.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide guidance and training to the facility staff as it pertains to customer service initiatives, client attainment strategies, and referent satisfaction goals.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Mentor and develop team members as necessary to enhance their skills and capabilities

Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential large corporate clients within the target industries.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities to inform strategic targeting and positioning.
Developing Marketing Strategies:
- Create comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to attract large corporations as clients.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives.
Building Targeted Campaigns:
- Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns aimed at large accounts with the potential for high-volume referral ability, utilizing a mix of digital marketing, content marketing, events, and direct outreach.
- Develop compelling messaging and value propositions that resonate with decision-makers.
Lead Generation and Nurturing:
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels such as email marketing, social media, industry events, and partnerships.
- Implement lead nurturing strategies to engage and educate prospects throughout the client’s journey.
Content Development and Thought Leadership:
- Create insightful and relevant content (blogs, articles, podcasts) that showcases expertise and addresses the pain points of the targeted account(s).
- Highlight Birch Tree Recovery as a thought leader in the industry through thought-provoking content and participation in industry forums and conferences.
Collaboration with Sales and Business Development:
- Partner closely with the internal teams to ensure alignment on target accounts and marketing strategies.
- Provide support in creating tailored sales materials and presentations for corporate pitches and meetings.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Track and monitor key marketing metrics and KPIs related to lead generation, conversion rates, and ROI on marketing campaigns.
- Continuously optimize marketing strategies and tactics based on performance data and market feedback.
Relationship Management and Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target corporations.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the company's presence and foster relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other teams such as product management, customer success, and finance to ensure alignment in messaging and service offerings for large corporate clients.
Market Intelligence and Feedback:
- Gather insights and feedback from potential and existing corporate accounts to inform product development, service enhancements, and marketing strategies.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Uphold high ethical standards in all interactions and communications with corporate clients and stakeholders.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on marketing performance, pipeline status, and business development initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on marketing and business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in business development within the mental health or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of the differences between Business Development and Marketing principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
