Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking an IT Systems Security Policy Analyst to provide support to the DOJ contract located in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise and support to the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in the key roles of NIST and DOJ IT Security Policy development and interpretation. Oversee the Cyber Security Training and Awareness program. Ensure overall Compliance with NIST and DOJ Cyber Security policies and procedures. Research and assess advanced Cyber Security technologies, applications and procedures. Support NIST Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Documentation, Continuous Monitoring, and Vulnerability Analysis procedures for all ATF. The ATF ISSO is a focal point for agency-wide IT governance and provides individuals the unique opportunity to positively influence the outcome and effectiveness of the agency's overall IT infrastructure.
The ATF ISSO develops and maintains the agency-wide information assurance program, its information security policies, procedures and control techniques as directed under FISMA.
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all OMB, NIST and DOJ policy is up to maintain and keep up to date the relevant ATF policy procedures Manuals and SOPs
Review and test the NIST SP 800-53 security controls on a variety of systems. This entails understanding and evaluating system architecture and a broad understanding of IT management, operations and technical practices.
Research new and improved and more efficient methods to conduct C&As
Ensure that the ATF Cyber Security Training Program is maintained and reflects the latest Cyber Security threats
Manage and track compliance for all ATF personnel to ensure they take mandatory Awareness and Role Based Training
This job requires people skills, passion for solving problems, performance to MS Project plans, and ability to shift focus according to sometimes rapidly changing workload requirements.
Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems for IT system security. Makes recommendations and advises on organization-wide system improvements, tools, optimization or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; security software life-cycle management; and modeling and simulation.
Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.
BA or BS Degree
Active Top-Secret clearance
Five (5) years' experience in Information Assurance /Certification and Assurance environment.
Five (5) years' experience in FISMA, NIST, Circular 800-53, and OMB.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to interface with all levels of management.
Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well independently or in a team setting.
Conduct Security Assessments, Security Audits, Security Awareness Presentations and security.
Must have Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Excellent attention to detail.
