What you will do-
Supervises all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.
Establishes and maintains department standards for quality, productivity, and reliability.
Serve as Business Process Owner for key production areas including: finished product assembly, material handling, and packaging.
Leads resolution of production-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company (i.e. engineering, supply chain, R&D, etc.).
Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues.
Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, time card approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and professional development.
Assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by employees.
Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees.
What you need-
Bachelor's degree required; Business or Engineering degree preferred
2+ years of related experience required
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Demonstrated proficiency in influencing and motivating teams
Ability to appropriate resources based on capacity need; managing constraints and surpluses
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating ability to influence others
