Material Planner

Role Summary:
The Material Planner plays a key role in driving one of the key metrics for the GE Oil and Gas business. It provides the up-front work of aligning material demands with supply. In order to provide the business with a beneficial result, it also involves looking for uses of obsolete material, and working with various teams to ensure that the plan remains on track.

Essential Responsibilities:In the role of Material Planner, you will:
Perform the planning process using tools (Oracle / Cyberplan) for the NHR Site by analyzing the plan, and acting on recommendations to create work orders and or PORs
Meet regularly with the manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering teams to understand their needs and or progress on actions associated with the plan
Roll up changes to the plan and communicate effectively with production control to highlight any risks to production
Work with Master Scheduling to look at new work coming in and make sure that it is appropriately slotted to setup for successful OTD to the customer
Drive issue resolution for any challenges that may occur to create gaps in the plan by assessing options available to reduce cycle
Drive process improvements / enhancements to the overall process
Ensure that any item updates are effectively communicated to the appropriate people

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High school diploma / GED with a minimum 7 years of experience in Inventory Management, Materials, and/or Planning)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Inventory Management, Materials, and/or Planning
