Description:
The Janitorial Crew Leader reports to the Operations Manager. They oversee the daily janitorial service responsibilities and standards. This person shall serve as a point of contact to assure the proper dispatching of crew members and equipment, and sites are cleaned in accordance with the contract standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rotate to each job site at least twice weekly.
- Monitor and provide Quality Control at each job site.
- Serve as subject matter expert in regard to the safe operation of equipment, and proper use of supplies and cleaning agents.
- Ensures each location is properly equipped with supplies.
- Coordinates equipment repair.
- Conducts site surveys/inspections with managerial staff, site managers, staff, and customers, as well as unscheduled site audits to assess technical skill levels, production rates, and quality of service.
- Put corrective measures in place to make sure cleaning is consistent to contract requirements.
- Fills in for janitors when necessary.
- Oversees and monitors the purchasing and inventory control functions to ensure there is no waste or excessive spending.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience (within the past five [5] years) on-site supervision of janitorial/custodial shifts and crews
- Possess knowledge and training standards in accordance with the Standard Guide for Stewardship for the Cleaning of Commercial and Institutional Buildings (ASTM E1971-19)
- Demonstrate capacity to deliver and provide on-going supervision at various locations during the hours they are staffed.
- Possess extensive experience in dealing with emergencies, including the knowledge and skill necessary to react and deliver under the pressure of emergency conditions
- Solid written and verbal forms of communication.
- Must be organized and display effective time management skills. Deadline driven.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must provide (and continuously maintain) driver’s license and insurance.
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must have excellent Customer Service skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employee will work on-site where the job assignment is and can be exposed to all weather conditions. In addition, employee will work alongside all types of equipment and could be exposed to fumes, dust, and particles. Proper PPE is required. The employee is expected to be able to walk, sit, stand, climb stairs/steps, bend, kneel, stoop, have responsible eyesight, range of motion, hearing and feeling in hands and fingers. Employee will at times be required to use hand tools and various pieces of equipment. Noise levels vary and can become very loud. Employees are required to have the physical stamina to perform under these conditions, as well as other conditions not listed here. An approved uniform must be worn daily - complete with company logo and employee name.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.85 per hour
