Are you a retired master gardener or seasoned horticulturist with a passion for gardening and plants? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horticulture Liaison to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will foster relationships with our clients, conduct site visits, and provide expert horticultural advice to help create beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular site visits and consultations.
- Horticultural Expertise: Offer expert advice on plant selection, landscape design, and maintenance practices tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Site Visits: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate plant health, landscape aesthetics, and address any horticultural issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with our landscaping team to ensure that all horticultural aspects of projects are executed to the highest standards.
- Client Satisfaction: Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the landscape and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
- Innovative Solutions: Provide creative and sustainable solutions to enhance the beauty and functionality of landscapes.
- Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy a flexible work schedule that accommodates your availability while meeting client needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, Master Gardener or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant species, landscape maintenance, and pest management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and CRM software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Passion for Gardening: A genuine passion for horticulture and landscape design.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
