This position will have responsibility for analyzing and maintaining real estate agreements and related services contracts in support of Pattern Energy’s wind energy development business.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for reviewing leases and related contracts to set-up and maintain accurate records in the land/GIS system and monitor lease/contractual obligations;
Accurately modify appropriate lease records, on a timely basis, of all changes affecting lease, right-of-way and all other monitored contracts;
Be the initial point of contact between the landowners and Pattern over such land related issues as changing title and/or ownership status, and assist in securing correct documentation to make changes.
Process monthly rental calendars for payment;
Be primary contact to convey and clarify information with accounting and finance over payments related to real property;
Work with Legal to prepare lease termination notices, as necessary;
Maintain and prepare acreage and rental reports for management;
Work with the legal group to ensure that organized and complete filing occurs on all lease and land-related documents in Pattern’s electronic document control system.
Special projects, as required.

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or significant work experience

Required Work Experience

Minimum 10 years experience in the energy business with a proven track history of maintaining and improving the land administration records of the company where the candidate worked.
Strong grasp of real estate contract terms and conditions with the ability to brief them accurately into Land Records system.
Have the experience to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with landowners, co-workers in various groups, including Legal, Accounting and Business Development.

Additional Requirements

Be able and willing to pitch in and do additional work as closings and high activity periods arise.
Establish and maintain such databases as arise within the small company environment, so that critical action items can be monitored.
