The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for product marketing activities at VT iDirect including messaging, positioning and launching the iDirect products to Sales and Customers. He/ she will act as a liaison between Product Management and the Corporate Marketing Team with respect to new and existing products and solutions. He/ she will be responsible for helping to create the value proposition, product messaging and benefits as well as creating g the technical product descriptions for use in sales tools and customer facing collateral and presentations for the web and external outreach programs. He/ she will assist the Sr. Product Marketing Manager to develop comprehensive, integrated product launch campaigns for the new products and features and position them as part of the overall customer solution.

Specific Duties/ Responsibilities

Responsible for developing value proposition, messaging, and sales tools for a subset of the iDirect product line by working closely with Product Management and Corporate Marketing to create effective product positioning, feature and benefit statements for VT iDirect products;
Works with the extended corporate marketing team on specific external product announcements and provides content for the development of creative ads, bylines, press releases, social media, blog articles, tradeshow messaging and email campaigns.
Utilizing creative and technical abilities to help develop compelling product messaging and highly effective sales tools such as customer presentations, collateral, product specification sheets, and product descriptions to enable Sales to position and sell to customers;
Responsible for managing the collateral and positioning for the overall product line collateral including updates to collateral, product specification sheets, product write-ups in RFPs and on website copy
Manages the product life cycle messaging and positioning of iDirect’s remote and terminal product line
Ensures all customer-facing messaging and product information on website, intranet and partner sites are accurate, fresh and relevant by continuously updating sales tools with relevant product information and positioning as required
Assists in developing sales positioning tools for Sales and Sales Engineering by working closely with the rest of the Product Marketing team and Product Management. These tools can include detailed product descriptions, technical specifications, business benefits and competitive positioning.
May represent VT iDirect’s Product Marketing team at tradeshows and partner/customer conferences.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in BS/MS in Business, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from accredited four year college or university and 3-5 years’ experience working in marketing, product marketing or product management in a high-tech telecommunications, computer science or networking environment.

Desired Qualifications

Proven track record of creating effective product value propositions for technical and commercial audiences
Ability to understand how technical product features translate into key benefits and advantages for the customer and write persuasive product positioning
Ability to understand technical product information and communicate often with technical product managers
Experience with copy writing of brochures, effective presentations, product sheets and solution sheets
Great interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross functional teams.
Very detail oriented and highly self-motivated

Skills and Abilities

Strong ability of executing highly tactical project plans under tight datelines
Possesses strong technical writing ability capable of articulating technology topics into business terms.
Very detailed oriented and highly organized
A demonstrated high level of energy, commitment, and passion for results
Experience in MS Powerpoint to write powerful, creative and succinct presentations
Experience in Adobe Suite, Photoshop or similar creative design application suites
