JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates and manages day-to-day product ordering and inventory levels to ensure that GSF objectives for customer satisfaction are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversight of daily department activities; which would include reporting, ensuring department metrics are maintained and overall inventory health. (20%)
  • Gathers, reviews, and disseminates new product information, promotional rollouts and product changes to internal departments to ensure accurate product information. (10%)
  • Routinely informs and communicates with associates to promote smooth operations and to ensure compliance with established inventory procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures. (5%)
  • Participate in projects to improve communication, review and establish procedures, systems and process improvements and evaluate effectiveness. (15%)
  • Creating purchase orders based on forecast and demand, ensuring safety stock levels are maintained, on-going inventory review to adjust and revise orders for optimal inventory levels. (20%)
  • Coordinates and collaborates with vendors and carriers to resolve product and transportation issues, maintain current records and tracking of performance. (5%)
  • Calculates prices on products to ensure proper vendor payments and accurate prices for customers. (5%)
  • Engage with the local distribution teams to ensure proper inventory levels based on capacity constraints. (10%)
  • Directs and completes cycle counts, inventories and variance reports to accomplish QCD objectives and identify areas for improvement. (10%)
  • Performs other related or assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:

AA degree in materials/logistics management, business math, business administration or communications from an accredited vocational, technical, or community college

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in inventory management, purchasing, transportation, logistics, shipping and receiving in an automated environment.
