Coverage for Crookston (must live within 40 mile radius of Crookston, MN)
Responsibilities
- Monitor resident's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice to everyday staff.
- Observe and interpret resident’s symptoms and communicate them to supervisors
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for residents
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in residents’ charts
- Help staff facilitate treatments according to physician’s orders
- Provide instant medical advice in emergencies
- Train supervisors and staff on medication distribution
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for residents and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
- Complete nursing visits based on each resident's individual need.
Skills
- Proven experience as a nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of DD and MI community.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- BSC or other diploma from a nursing program
- Valid nursing license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
