HOME VISITS REQUIRED.
There is an opening for Queens, Nassau County and Suffolk County area. 3 separate openings.
The Psychotherapist (OLP) is designed to prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early symptom identification and intervention and may be provided to children/youth in need of assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed.
In this role you will:
- Work with children, adolescents and their families in their home and community environments.
- Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing assessment
- Develop a congruent treatment plan with actively including the child and family as to ensure medical necessity.
- Provide counseling services by way of psychotherapy, including therapeutic communication and interaction for the purpose of alleviating symptoms or functional limitations.
- Provide both in-person and telephone crisis intervention activities to any child that experiences psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
- Documents all services provided both timely and accurately.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a NYS LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or LMSW
- HOME VISITS REQUIRED, Ideally evenings or weekends
- Successful completion of the Mandated Reporter training.
- Ability to work amongst diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and have some knowledge and using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Bilingual (preferred but not required) in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, as depending upon the needs of the client and their family.
