SUMMARY: This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Applications Infrastructure on the Mainframes and Open System platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
24X7 monitoring, tuning, maintenance and support of production environment.
Works with Microsoft, IBM and 3rd party ISVs in supporting existing installation, upgrades and problem resolution. Applies patches following standard schedule.
Designs, builds and maintains highly-available systems for production and testing environments.
Supports programmers in development, customization and migration of software releases to each environment.
Provides specifications (define functional/non-function requirements and estimate effort) and develops proposal for deployments, demonstrating strong technical writing skills.
Works closely with other infrastructure teams supporting Operating systems, Networking, Security for required changes.
Works with OPERS management teams to develop sound recommendations for project and budget prioritizations.
Identifies and logs outstanding issues and technical debt.
Applies technical skills in a multi-platform environment.
Installs and configures WebSphere Application Server (WAS), including messaging, J2EE security, and JDBC data resources in a multiple environments.
Installs and configures BPM (Clustered mode) and BPM (Process Center & Server).
Installs and configures Microsoft IIS/ASP.net applications.
Provides support for Web Services (SOA) utilized in integration of legacy (COBOL/CICS) and Web applications (.Net, Java and WAS batch environments).
Helps to implement DEVOPS policies, processes and procedures. Develops automation scripts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
