Security Supervisor
Locally owned security company is looking to hire a full-time security supervisor. The security supervisor must reside in the Anchorage area.
We are a security agency in Anchorage, Alaska and have multiple contracts that will be supervised.
Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls from company personnel and clients, regardless of time
- Travel via car and airplane as required to provide training to secure transport officers
- Meet with clients in remote locations for networking and training opportunities Complete paperwork (personnel files, training files, vehicle inspection logs and files)
- Evaluate and hire new security personnel
- Coordinate and train new security officers in firearms, Use of Force, On the job training, Jiu-Jitsu, handcuffing, P&P, verbal de-escalation, statutes of Alaska…etc
- Manage day-to-day field operations
- Develop work schedules for employees
- Review, correct, and submit time sheets weekly
- Conduct ride-a-longs with officers and document performance
- Develop, monitor, and implement current and future safety standards
- Keep detailed records of training and operational procedures

Security Supervisor must be able to problem-solve, think outside the box, work well independently and foster teamwork and a positive environment for their security officers, and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations. They must have the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, clients & staff, medical personnel, dispatch, and maintain professional composure in potentially difficult and intense situations.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and have a good driving record. Applicants who have had any moving violations in the last 3 years, must supply a driving history (https://online.dmv.alaska.gov/onlinedrivingrecords) along with resume.
Mandatory Experience:
Previous Relevant Supervisory Experience
Prior Military or Contractor
Prior Law Enforcement/Corrections/Probations/Security
Starting pay at $54,000.00 per year, DOE
This will be a salary, exempt position and the candidate must be able to work independently.
