Rich in history and tradition, Augusta National Golf Club was founded in 1934 with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail. Our focus has always been on showcasing the finest merchandise in world-class retail environments while offering an exciting and memorable experience. While maintaining brand integrity, the Merchandising team is responsible for the design, development, and visual merchandising of retail environments for many unique items that are sold during the Masters Golf Tournament. The product mix covers a wide range in both apparel and non-apparel categories. In collaboration with the team, the Product Development and Design intern will be exposed to a variety of projects and will assist in the development from concept through production of both domestically and internationally sourced products.

You will gain, learn, or be exposed the following:

  • Trend Research using global forecasting services
  • Seasonal Color Development for Men & Ladies, and Kids apparel categories
  • Brainstorming Design Meetings
  • Able to multi task and work in a fast pace environment
  • Vendor communication, relationships, and follow-up with both international and domestic suppliers
  • Assortment Planning and Visual Merchandising of all retail spaces
  • Participate in vendor meetings to assist the needs of the meeting owner
  • Prepare competitive benchmark analysis for various product, categories, and events
  • Assist with tracking orders for the upcoming Masters Tournament
  • Maintain sample and archive library for development approvals
  • Tournament preparations and projects
  • End of internship presentation to management

  • Eagerness and willingness to learn
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs including Office, Excel, and Word
  • Proficient with ADOBE Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks within tight deadlines

Internship Details:

  • *Sessions Available: Fall 2018, Spring 2019
  • *Must be enrolled as a current junior or senior in a college/university
  • Work week = 40 hours, plus overtime as needed
  • 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Housing is available
  • Paid Internship
