This is most certainly a leadership role. We are looking for someone that believes HR can fundamentally change a business. We need someone that can lead positive change into an organization and gets excited about how HR can impact the daily lives of the employees. We want our HR department to be focused on career building and trendsetting, not rulemaking and policy enforcement. Fun police and wet blankets need not apply.
Multistate and federal regulation experience is crucial. You should have familiarity with the entire employee lifecycle: from onboarding to exit interviews and everything in between. PHR/SHRM certification is preferred, but not required. Experience and culture will trump all.
