We provide services for transportation, bridges, site development, environmental services, water/wastewater engineering and right of way engineering and services.

Beam, Longest and Neff, LLC is seeking applicants for a Assistant Construction Services Department Manager to provide team leadership for observation services on locally and federally funded civil engineering projects in the state of Indiana, as well as project management for larger projects.

Tasks/Responsibilities will include:
Assist in leadership of construction inspection team and management of Indiana construction inspection activities
Assist in management and administration of INDOT, DPW and/or Local Agency road and bridge construction projects
Organization and coordination of project meetings with team members and various project stakeholders
Mentoring of construction inspection staff
Assist in daily oversight of construction inspection team, including assigning tasks, reviewing work product, and generating performance appraisals
Resolution of complex technical and/or contractual project related issues
Assisting management staff with identifying and pursuing construction inspection opportunities
Assisting management staff with implementation of client development and marketing strategies among existing and prospective clients
Developing and monitoring project budgets, including regular reporting to management staff
Monitor subconsultant progress and performance, including review and approval of vendor invoices

B.S. in civil engineering or related field
Licensed P.E. in State of Indiana or has the ability to obtain within one year
4+ years of INDOT, DPW and/or LPA construction project management experience
Experienced in leading a team of construction inspection and administrative personnel is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Familiar with INDOT project administration and documentation requirements
Proficient with use of Site Manager is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, motivated and self-starting, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
