To be successful in this role, the Insights Analyst will play a key role in managing data via the client’s “discovery” Business Intelligence (BI) platform and translate it into actionable insights for their customer, commercial, and brand teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytics background, a tech-savvy and entrepreneurial spirit, and be comfortable working collaboratively with other teams. Brand marketing experience in CPG and/or food service/QSR is a plus.
Lead, produce, and distribute “Post-Program Analyses” (PPAs) for 5-6 National Programs; including analysis of 360-degree components (POS, media, on-dispenser, etc).
Lead, produce, and distribute “Weekly Tracker” for client’s Marketing, Commercial, and Sales stakeholders. (~4-6 hrs / wk)
Consult on and develop ad hoc analyses using (business/media/social/digital) data sources as required by the business.
Act as SME for this group in support of business user on-boarding, training, and development.
Manage updates in a client specific platform. (< 1 hr / wk)
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Analytics / Data-driven Research.
Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) systems such as Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, Cognos, SPSS, Microstrategy, et al.
Experience with Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) is a big plus.
Experience with Python, R, VBA, or other scripting/coding languages is a big plus.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong analytics and research experience with a focus on Business and Media data – sales, COGS, impressions, Social/Digital metrics, surveys, focus groups, et al.
Proven ability to synthesize data and findings into actionable insights and communicate them in a compelling way (‘storytelling’) to stakeholders ranging from engineers / data scientists to the client’s leaders.
Comfort-level for learning and adopting new analytics and related technologies; curiosity for learning new analytics techniques every day.
Passion for ‘big data’ and the opportunity to play with a highly-proprietary data source.
Strong project and timeline management skills.
Must be an advanced MSFT Excel user (complex formulae, etc).
