Job Summary:
AES is seeking a Landscape Architect to join its collaborative team. This individual will serve a key function in providing management of all aspects of the planning, design and permitting of Landscape Architecture, land development and planning projects, and applying intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of urban revitalization and streetscape, community design, retail and commercial site planning, residential development, healthcare, and institutional design. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management, multi-task and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with design team to deliver results on deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creating landscape design plans using computer aided design (CAD) software
- Research regulatory requirements and design standards
- Lead the planning, design and permitting of landscape projects
- Lead the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, and designs for projects
- Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
- Conduct site visits and inspections when required.
- Attend project management meetings involving clients and regulatory agencies
- Coordination with design team on addressing regulatory comments
- Assist in the coordination of construction phases services (RFI, shop drawings etc.)
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture required.
- Professional landscape architect license is preferred; LEED AP or AICP certification considered a plus
- Working Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Photoshop, and Illustrator;
- Prior project management experience with the ability to grow, lead, and cultivate staff
- Knowledge of local, city, county, and state land use processes and regulations strongly preferred;
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
- Must have a valid driver’s license and able to pass drug/alcohol screening.
