TITLE: Principal Business Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Principal Business Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to formulate systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements. Provide technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems. Provide technical consulting on complex projects. Analyze and design business systems. Diagnose needs and develop related requirement specification, plan system development, create and implement a test plan, provide on-going project oversight during the development phase and compare the solution delivered with the original specifications. Act as an intermediary between IT and internal clients. Apply specialized professional knowledge and techniques to develop solutions as appropriate, to analytical, commercial, operational, process or technological problems. Lead projects or inter-departmental teams (mentor more junior roles). Enhance, optimize and automate existing processes and ongoing business processes. Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standard and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Management or a related field and years (8) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: developing business analytics solutions; developing SAS and SQL code to gather data from various systems, understand various functionality of business systems to address problems; able to translate business requirements to code applications and apply data to achieve required result; managing analytics and development projects; documenting business processes, including requirements, development process, sign offs, and change management processes; initiating, developing, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma/Agile. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in any field and one (1) year of information technology experience to meet educational requirement.
