Business is BOOMING, and we need another “A+” player to join us for the ride. The Operations Dept. is charged with innovating and managing all “Behind-the-Scenes” aspects that make Sonic Boom the awesome place it is.

Summary

This person will work with the Finance Team, a subunit of the Operations department. This position communicates with account managers, Sonic Boom’s CEO and President regarding client billing; they also assist in all elements of the monthly accounting cycle, contribute to special projects, and provide administrative support as needed. It requires working closely with HR regarding compensation, payroll, and benefits. This is an intermediate-level, hands-on position with high expectations and tremendous potential for career development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Billing– Preparing sales orders; invoicing clients; communicating with clients to ensure their account is up-to-date.
  • Accounts receivable– Accurate posting and classification of daily receivable transactions; entering payments received from clients into QuickBooks; and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of each day’s transactions.
  • Accounts payable– Processing receipts and bills from vendors; entering invoices into QuickBooks ensuring accuracy of each bill and proper classification.
  • Inventory control– Keep accurate records of inventory when it is received and when it is shipped out; prepare purchase orders to verify and match shipments coming in; and reconcile inventory at month’s end.
  • Administrative– Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Ops and Finance; act as a liaison between SBW Departments regarding miscellaneous tasks and projects.
  • Perform other general office duties as needed, such as: filing, checking the mail, and assisting in all areas of operation as requested by our Operations team and Co-Founders, and other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant Accounting experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • SHARP MIND – We need a numbers-oriented, logistical, innovative, and critical thinker!
  • EXTREMELY detail-oriented and organized
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills
