As a Global Technical Service Engineer, you will cultivate interaction, communication and support between Business Teams and Technical Service Teams regarding new product development, field quality concerns, and troubleshooting knowledge and processes. Develop technical training content and deliver training content to Regional Technical Teams for all new product launches as well as in support of major problem resolution while ensuring both our Business and Regional Teams have the critical information to support Hypertherm as an industry benchmark for technical services and further promote Hypertherm’s total value proposition.
Additional ways you will add value:
Provide input to Business Teams during new product development and change processes.
Implement, develop, and support training programs to meet Hypertherm’s internal and external needs for technical training.
Collect and analyze field data to assess quality, application and/or integration issues for evaluation and potential engineering redesign of products.
Partner with field-based associates and Business Teams to capture any and all technical product information for new or existing products
Research, develop and document troubleshooting resources and techniques to be used by internal/external customers to effectively diagnose problems and expedite problem resolution.
Provide mentorship through on-the-job training, sharing of product and process knowledge and available resources to foster the development of short-term capabilities.
You will have:
BS in Engineering and 5+ years related experience or AS, Engineering and 10+ years related experience.
Advanced troubleshooting capabilities
Knowledge of (or the ability to learn), all Hypertherm Systems and Components
Demonstrated capability using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to effectively present in front of groups
Experience guiding a team of service engineers
