Full Job Description
Colossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a Senior VTC Engineer to support an ongoing project with our government client located onsite at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. This individual will be a full-time employee responsible for providing the Air National Guard (ANG) VTC technical support for the classified and unclassified Audio-Visual systems and VTC systems onsite. They will act as a lead and Program Manager for the staff supporting the VTC systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical support for VTC & Teleconferences, call monitoring, performance reports, troubleshooting of AV/VTC issues and audio/video conferencing related issues.
Responsible for ensuring their A/V and VTC personnel have demonstrated experience or possess industry certifications such as Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom, or communications systems which support the necessary skill sets to perform the VTC duties to which they are assigned.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, audiovisual specifications and schematics.
Schedule, setup, test and monitor point-to-point and multipoint VTC’s for 1800 local users.
Schedule, setup and manage GVS calls in multiple classifications.
Manage VTC gatekeepers and coordinate with external sites for testing and configuration.
Provide technical setup and conference support for large special events in auditorium style rooms.
Provide technical and troubleshooting support for meetings in small conference rooms.
Maintain the latest software and hardware upgrades as sanctioned by the DOD.
Ensure software and hardware compliances are within DOD STIG requirements.
Provide design and installation of components for new conference rooms as well as refresh outdated conference room equipment.
Maintain Haivision IPTV system and provide troubleshooting.
Provide weekly and monthly device and facility usage reports.
Other duties as assigned by the customer.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in VTC/AV as a technician or engineer.
1 year of documented VTC System Administration experience with identifiable programs and systems.
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills as a manager or technical lead.
Demonstrated ability to speak publicly, to facilitate training, or to provide feedback to senior leadership.
Possess an awareness and understanding of the ANGRC mission and maintain professional intercommunication skills which permit them to adequately address technical and administrative requests to assigned personnel.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment.
Active Top-Secret security clearance.
Security+CE Certification required within 6 months.
Ability to lift 50-60 lbs., climb, crawl, and raise objects overhead.
Travel to additional worksites within the DC/MD/VA area is possible.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Full-time employee of Colossal Contracting, long-term contract.
